Johnnie is a facilitator at Ethos. He is also a higher education professional, public speaker, and social justice educator from the south side of Chicago, Illinois. Identifying as a first-generation college student, he completed a Master of Education from Iowa State University of Science & Technology in Higher Education & Student Affairs. During his master’s program, Johnnie earned a Social Justice for Education graduate certificate as an emphasis while at Iowa State. Johnnie has taught coursework on DEI at the university level since 2019. An award-winning scholar and professional, Johnnie was recently named to the 30 under 40 Sawubona (Sah – Woo – Boe – Na) Class, presented by the Pan-African Network of the American College Personnel Association (ACPA), one of the internationally recognized associations for Higher Education professionals.
