Daniel Matamoros is currently the Center Director for the Midtown Achievement Center for Boys in Chicago. In his position, Daniel oversees all of Midtown's enrichment programs for underserved students and their families from 3rd to 12th grade to prepare them for college and fruitful careers.
Daniel is a Certified Educator in Personal Finance, a Certified Financial Aid Administrator, and holds a third professional certification in Curriculum and Pedagogy. He has Masters Degrees from Loyola University of Chicago and the University of Navarra in Higher Education and Marriage and Family Therapy respectively. As a PhD candidate in Loyola University's Higher Education Program, Daniel's research focuses on STEM identity development for minority students, supporting undocumented and underrepresented students, using financial aid to bridge educational gaps, and developing tailored supports for underserved student populations.
Throughout his career, Daniel has worked in the healthcare, K-12th, Higher education, crisis response, for-profit, and non-profit sectors, and has experience managing a variety of teams and team compositions. In his spare time, Daniel loves spending quality time with his spouse and 3 kids cooking, painting, camping, or playing sports.
