Describe your role at Ethos.

I am the Business Manager at Ethos and my role is to support the company with Business Operations by supporting the team in creating, tracking, and following up on invoices, writing and sending contracts to clients and vendors, supporting travel needs, and managing the diverse needs of our distributed team working in a hybrid virtual and live environment. I also support the maintenance of key HRIS, CRM, task management, knowledge management, and time tracking tools.

What made you want to start at Ethos?

First and foremost, it was the chance to be able to make a difference. Being the first child of Mexican immigrants raised in the US, I learned early on the effects of rascism and how hard it was for me to thrive at work due to some of the working conditions I encountered. When I came across Ethos, I knew that I wanted to be a part of a company that’s purpose and mission is to create change in the workplace.

What has been your favorite aspect of working at Ethos?

The best part about working at Ethos is that I get to work with a group of diverse and talented people that have different perspectives. This allows me to learn new things each and everyday!

What has been your favorite project you have worked on?

I don’t have a specific project but being able to work “behind the scenes”, learning about different organizations and the ways they are committing to changing things in their workplaces.

What do diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging mean to you?

DEIB to me is being seen, accepted and acknowledged for who you are without one having to alter any aspect of ourselves.

What does the word “ethos” mean to you?

To me ethos means our guiding beliefs and values. We make our decisions based on this.

What is your personal ethos? How does it show up in your everyday life?

My personal ethos is to be a compassionate, honest, and transparent person. I believe this helps in building true authentic relationships.
